The book centres on a young poor widowed woman who chooses to leave her homeland and follow her old poor widowed mother-in-law back to her country.
The book of Ruth is so clever. Each chapter illustrates how God works behind the scenes to fulfil His ultimate purpose – providence at it’s best.
23 of the 89 verses mention God.
It’s shows how He cares for the needy and richly rewards those who trust in Him.
Ruth is about redemption and God’s faithfulness in finding rest for His people.
