10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
– Isaiah 3:10
I love this verse. It’s such an encouraging verse – quite simply, what it means to me is everything is going to be okay!
And all we have to do is be righteous. Easy ask right?
My partner* and I usually choose a period during which we fast and pray together. Today we were fasting and I was just thanking God for all He has done for us.
It’s wonderful being in a relationship, but the greatest relationship I have ever experienced, is the one in which I was given imputed righteousness. And from that righteousness, I can take heart and be encouraged.
‘Righteousness through redemption’ is what Paul calls it in Romans 3 – and what a joy it is. So re-read that verse. Stand on that scripture – as a child of God, this is your promise.
NB: I realise that I haven’t really introduced my partner to you guys, so expect I will post an intro or something in the coming weeks. I could write my entire blog about him, he is that awesome, but I will limit myself to one post…
