Light (Matt 5:16)
So I continue ’27 Lessons’* with another important word – Light.
(*Just to explain, each person who attended my birthday dinner was given a different word based on one of my favourite chapters in the bible Psalms 27, but I basically read around each Word to find another bible verse relevant for each person)
Light
You know what, actually, I feel like Psalm 27 verse 1 encapsulates this in the most beautiful way:
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
but we couldn’t leave it there lol
The verse I reflected on beyond the Psalms was Matthew 5 verse 16:
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
My prayer is that your light will shine, at work, at home, with your friends, with your not-so-friendly friends lol and everyone in between. You will be an example, but not for yourself, but to honour your Maker.
