Lifted – Psalm 30:1
So I continue ’27 Lessons’* with another important word – Lifted
(*Just to explain, I turned 27 this year on 22nd August 2018. I held a birthday dinner during which each attendee was given a different word based on one of my favourite chapters in the bible – Psalms 27)
Ok, so your word was “Lifted” and I took it from Psalm 30v1:
“I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.”
God is your lifter. I know life has a way of getting us down, and beating us up but the Word says that He lifted us.
Not lifts, or will lift – He HAS lifted. Secured.
Sometimes we have moments when we forget this, and it’s as if life’s lies are all we can hear, but I remember that place in Romans that says that God will be true and every man a liar. So don’t give in to the lies.
Stay on your knees.
Stay steadfast in prayer.
Trust that God hears and that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly more.
And then there’s the part b – the shame that you will never carry. I love that – God has NOT made your enemies to rejoice over you and will never allow that. You will never be put to shame so do not let anyone try to put shame on you.
The only person who could be ashamed of you, isn’t.
The only person who could call you out on your mistakes doesn’t.
Christ became a reproach for you so you could approach His throne – so get closer.
