27 Lessons X Psalms 27: Sing

Sing – Psalm 57:7

So I continue ’27 Lessons’* with another important word – Sing

(*Just to explain, I turned 27 this year on 22nd August 2018. I held a birthday dinner during which each attendee was given a different word based on one of my favourite chapters in the bible – Psalms 27)

Sing

Ok, so your word was Sing and it actually came from Psalms 57:7:

“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.”

I was really thinking about this in terms of not just the musicality of actually singing, but our own existence.

If God has created us to worship, then our lives aren’t just about breath and being, but our lives should be a song. A hymn, a psalm, an anthem.

People should be able to see a song of thanksgiving and appreciation in the way we live our lives.

So what song are we singing?

What message can be read from the way in which we live?

My prayer is that through each challenge, test and trial, be it good or bad, your life would sing a message that correlates with what the Psalmist said – of a person whose heart is fixed on God. So I pray that you would stay fixed on our Father and let your devotion to Him be a song for all the world to hear!
