Mercy – Psalm 5:7
I want to continue ’27 Lessons’* with another important word – Mercy.
(*Just to explain, I turned 27 this year on 22nd August 2018. I held a birthday dinner during which each attendee was given a different word based on one of my favourite chapters in the bible – Psalms 27)
Ok, so the word was Mercy, and aside from being plucked from one of my favourite Bethel tracks, it actually came from Psalm 5:7:
But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
I love this idea of being met by God’s mercy.
That He has prepared enough mercy for us to get us through the day.
The Psalmist says we can come into His house in the multitude of His mercy, which reminds us that church can be a place of refuge and sanctuary, but thank God we don’t have to wait until Sundays to get our next fill.
My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will continue to remind you of God’s mercy, and that you will let that encourage you in times of trouble.
