27 Lessons X Psalms 27: Time

Time – Ephesians 5:16

So I continue ’27 Lessons’* with another important word – Time

(*Just to explain, I turned 27 this year on 22nd August 2018. I held a birthday dinner during which each attendee was given a different word based on one of my favourite chapters in the bible – Psalms 27)

Time

Ok, so today the word is Time, and obviously you could go anywhere with this word, perhaps most commonly Ecclesiastes 3, but I felt Ephesians 5:16 was more apt:

“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

It’s a very blunt verse, I know, but it really helps to tie the whole chapter together.

I feel like God wants us to be more self-aware, more intentional and just more diligent in regards to our timekeeping.

We are at an age when we can look back and reflect on our own personal journeys and the transformations that Christ has worked in us, whilst squinting with hopeful anticipation for what we feel God is still to do.

No matter what has already passed, we can each recognise that we have been on such a beautiful journey, with God, through ups and downs, and in time, God will complete all that He has started in us.

My prayer for you is that you will walk with wisdom.

Don’t make decisions out of fear.

Follow God’s peace.

Seek it.

Pursue it.

Let His light guide you.

And whenever you feel at a cross roads, don’t move until He moves you.

Trust that you know His voice, and then listen.
